I don't know whether it's because I'm half way through the novel, but this 'mash up'/desecration of the 1970 version of the film set to the Benny Hill theme had the most fantastic effect on me last night. I was kind of depressed anyway, and the book is very gloomy and dark - so I found this clip on Youtube and I laughed so much that I nearly fell off me typists' chair.
If it plays out of sync you must try and watch it at the Youtube site instead. Also, if you can't remember Benny Hill you might think: "What's the fuss about?" But I think it's brilliant.
