One of my favorites dramas right now. I always fancy a good English period movie (Well, in this case TV series) I'm interested about good old Sally comments about it.

Kao!
I didn't see you there. I always look at 'Sarah's Musings' first. No cracks about egomania please...
Well my sister loved the first series of 'Downton'. But I haven't seen it. She said it's gone downhill in terms of quality since then.
A lot of people are annoyed that it portrays upper class people too positively. I mean servants had a miserable time of it in those stately homes. They were often made to turn their backs to the walls when their masters walked by. Maids were raped, because their masters felt that the women were their property.
But I suppose it's escapist TV. And there's nowt wrong with that.
I hope Josefina is doing OK. Let us know.

Well, you're probably right. One of the interesting thing about the series are how close they portrait the relationship among masters and servants. Sometimes the relation is almost as friends...things were probably darker as you said. Josefa is doing great. Shes 3 1/4 years old now. She's talking quite clear, likes to play with make up and polish nails, and has a love interest on a schoolmate called Renato. She's very girlish and I love that.

I am glad Josefina is thriving and has a boyfriend. That must be an enormous relief to you. Or an enormous worry.
Yep I'm sure 'Downton' is pure escapism. But like John Lennon said: 'Whatever gets you thru the night'.
Sometimes it's good not to think too deeply about stuff like entertainment...
